About Nate Dogg


Nate Dogg was born in Long Beach, California. He was rap and hip-hop singer.
Nate Dogg worked with Snoop Dogg,  and was the cousin of Butch Cassidy and Lil' ½ Dead
As a child he started singing in New Hope Baptist Church (in Long Beach) and Life Line Baptist Church in (Clarksdale, Mississippi). He studied in a high school in Long Beach, but he left school at the age of 16 and joined the United States Marine Corps.

In 1991 Nate Dogg together with Snoop Dogg and their friend Warren G formed "213" - a rap trio. 213 recorded their first demo in the back of the famed V.I.P record store in Long Beach. Dr. Dre heard the demo at a party and he was instantly hooked on the Nate's voice.
He made his debut on The Chronic. Nate Dogg would go on to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. He was also featured on Mista Grimm's "Indosmoke" with Warren G. He produced his first single "Regulate" together with Warren G. in 1994. He was also featured in many Tupac's releases. In 1998 he released the album  G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 and then in 2001 - Music & MeMusic & Me peaked at number three on the Billboard hip-hop charts in 2001.
Nate Dogg made his greatest success in collaborations with other hip-hop artists. Until 2004, he has featured in and contributed to more than 40 chart singles.
On 3 June 2008 it was released his self-titled album Nate Dogg after 4 years if delays.
On December 19, 2007, he suffered a stroke and the left side of his body was paralyzed. Doctors believed that he would recover, and also his voice was not affected. However, in September 2008, Nate suffered a second stroke.
